Win a signed copy of John Nichol’s Lancaster

This month one lucky winner will win a signed copy of John Nichol’s latest book, Lancaster, The Forging of a Very British Legend, which tells the story of the legendary aircraft, and the men who flew it.

All current members have been automatically entered into this month’s ballot.

About the prize

John Nichol’s Lancaster, The Forging of a Very British Legend, is a follow up to his Sunday Times bestseller, Spitfire.

Lancaster is a moving tribute to the Lancaster, its heroic crews and the men and women who kept the aircraft airborne.

Andy McNab, author of Bravo Two Zero, described the book as, “The epic story of an iconic aircraft and the breath taking courage of those who flew her.”

Clive Rowley, Editor of our RAF Memorial Flight publications described it as, “A completely wonderful, brilliant book; surely Nichol’s best year! I was continuously drawn into the personal stories; it’s an emotional roller coaster of a read and a brilliant tribute to the men who flew the Lancaster.”

John Nichol served in the RAF for 15 years. In 1991 his Tornado bomber was shot down over Iraq during the Gulf War. He was captured, tortured and held as a prisoner of war.

This is a rare chance to win a copy of the booked signed by John Nichol himself.
