Club prizes and winners – October to December 2023
All members of the RAF Memorial Flight Official Club are automatically entered into our monthly prize ballots to win some special prizes. These were the ballot prizes for the months of October to December 2023 and the lucky Club members who won them.
October ballot prize – A special signed copy of the book ‘Spitfire’ by John Dibbs and Tony Holmes
In October one lucky Club member won a copy of the book ‘Spitfire – The Legend Lives On’ by John Dibbs and Tony Holmes, which was first published in 2016. Full of stunning modern and period photographs, the book also contains poignant first-hand accounts of flying the Spitfire in combat, from some of the most famous aces ever to fly the aircraft, and from some pilots forgotten by history. Chronicling the history of the most iconic of British aircraft, this is an essential volume for aviation enthusiasts. This special copy of the book was signed by John and five Officers Commanding BBMF.

November ballot prize – Crew brew tea and the Reunion of Giants DVD
In November the Club offered the chance for a member to win a perfect winter night in front of the television with some Crew Brew tea and the Reunion of Giants DVD. The Club receives many requests for the Reunion of Giants DVD, which documents the union of the last two flying Avro Lancaster bombers together in 2014, when the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Lancaster “Vera” flew from Canada to meet her British counterpart. It is a must-see film for all BBMF fans to own. Crew Brew tea is blended and sold by the Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company, which is an official sponsor of the BBMF. December ballot prize – BBMF ‘goody’ bag
The Club's ballot prize for December was a special BBMF ‘goody’ bag, provided as a prize by the Flight and full of BBMF-badged items, some of which are not on sale to the public. Inside the useful BBMF shopping bag was a hot-food travel mug, a BBMF baseball cap, a BBMF keyring, an enamel BBMF mug and a BBMF notebook, a superb set of BBMF memorabilia to add to any collection.
