Official BBMF Autumn Journal – out now!
The RAF Memorial Flight Official Club autumn journal for 2016 has just been published and will be sent out to members in the next couple of weeks. The 76-page magazine is packed with stunning photographs – many of them previously unpublished – and with fascinating feature articles.
Get behind the scenes at the BBMF with one of the fighter pilot’s description of the Flight’s activities during the Royal International Tattoo weekend in July, an insight into the role of BBMF Bomber Leader by the current holder of the post, and engineering background in the ‘Keeping ’em Flying’ section about superchargers.
You will also find fascinating historical articles about the BBMF’s own past and also wartime history including an interview with ATA pilot Joy Lofthouse, the story of No 1426 Enemy Aircraft Circus Flight – the so-called ‘RAFwaffe’ – and a feature on the wartime production of Hawker Hurricanes.
