Club ballot prizes and winners January to March 2026
All members of the RAF Memorial Flight Official Club are automatically entered into our monthly prize draws. There have been some marvellous prizes won by Club members from January to March 2026. These were the ballot prizes and the lucky Club members who won them.
January: Club merchandise bundle
The January 2026 ballot prize was a fabulous bundle of Club branded merchandise, consisting of a beanie hat, neck warmer, a notebook, some postcards, two sets of prints, a keyring and an Official Club patch.
Winner: Mike Smith from Sussex
February: An IBCC handcrafted ceramic poppy
The VE 80 commemorations at the International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) in Lincoln during 2025 included an installation of over 20,000 stunning handcrafted ceramic poppies, shaped into a Lancaster bomber. The Lancaster Poppy Display at the IBCC was created by artist Darius Sirmulevicius. When the installation was removed, each poppy sculpture was sold to raise money for charity. In February we were able to offer one of these special poppies, with its certificate of authenticity, as an amazing prize for one Club member.
This special IBCC poppy was kindly donated by Club member Bob Giddings
Winner: Holly Dixon from Yorkshire
March: BBMF Experience Day
The March ballot prize was a fantastic, ‘money cannot buy it’, chance of a lifetime for a lucky Club member to win an Experience Day with the BBMF at RAF Coningsby. The lucky winner will be able to bring up to three guests to RAF Coningsby on Saturday 27th June, one of the planned weekend flying days of the 2026 display season, which is also Armed Forces Day. Weather and aircraft availability permitting, the BBMF’s planned flying programme for that day is expected to be exceptionally busy and should include flights by the Dakota, Hurricanes and Spitfires. The prize winner and guests will be permitted escorted access to the RAF Station at Coningsby and inside the BBMF HQ, which is not normally open to the public. The escort and host for the day will be Squadron Leader (retired) Clive Rowley, a former fighter pilot and Officer Commanding BBMF.
Winner: Steven Betony from Nottinghamshire
