RAF Memorial Flight Club prize winners

Ballot prize winners - January to March 2017

All members of the RAF Memorial Flight Official Club are automatically entered into the Club’s monthly prize ballots. Members have won some fabulous, valuable and in some cases truly unique prizes in the last few months. These were the prizes and their lucky winners for January to March 2017.

January: A flight in the Aero Legends vintage de Havilland Devon, once owned by the RAF BBMF, in close formation, wing to wing, with a Spitfire. Winner: Rebecca Patchett from Lincolnshire.

Bonus competition
In addition to the monthly ballot prizes we also ran a bonus competition in January. The prize, which went to the first correct answer drawn, was a signed copy of aviation artist Robin Smith’s beautiful book of his artwork, ‘Painted Wings’. The correct answer to the competition question: “How many aircraft does the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight operate?” was “D. Twelve (1 Lancaster, 6 Spitfires, 2 Hurricanes, 1 C-47 Dakota and 2 DH Chipmunks)”. The winner was Sarah Lingard, who gave the book to her dad.
