Club ballot prizes and winners January to March 2025
All members of the RAF Memorial Flight Official Club are automatically entered into our monthly prize draws to win some special prizes. There have been some wonderful exclusive prizes offered over the last three months which have been won by Club members. These were the ballot prizes for January to March 2025 and the lucky Club members who won them.
January: A limited-edition set of RAF aircraft coins
This set of seven coins featuring RAF aircraft is limited to 4,995 sets. This Westminster Collection set was produced in conjunction with the RAF, and comes in a presentation box with a certificate of authenticity. The set features seven intricate illustrations of a variety of RAF aircraft, including the Lancaster, Spitfire, Dakota and Hurricane, showcasing the exceptional work of renowned aviation artist Bill Dady. Each coin is also proudly adorned with the RAF logo.
Many thanks to Club member Robert James Smith for kindly donating this prize.
Winner: Andrew Dumbleton from Lincolnshire
February: Two commemorative BBMF patches
These two fantastic limited-edition patches were provided to the Club by the BBMF. They were produced by Squadron Prints as a limited run to celebrate D-Day 80 and Arnhem 80. A small number were available to purchase from Squadron Prints, and all BBMF personnel were given the patches to wear to commemorate the anniversaries.
Winner: Mark Edwards from Northants
March: BBMF Spitfire cockpit experience
The Club and the BBMF are once again delighted to be able to offer a ‘money cannot buy it’ opportunity to experience what it is like to sit in the cockpit of a BBMF Spitfire for one lucky Club member. The winner will be able to climb into the cockpit of one of the BBMF’s airworthy Spitfires and the controls and instrumentation will be explained to them by a pilot who has flown the Flight’s Spitfires. The winner can bring up to three guests to take photographs and to share in the experience of a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the BBMF hangar.
Winner: Rory Weatherburn from Lincolnshire
