MBE for Squadron Leader Mandy Singleton

Congratulations to Squadron Leader Mandy Singleton on the award of the MBE in the King’s New Year’s Honours List. Mandy was the BBMF Senior Engineering Officer (SEngO) from the close of the 2019 display season until November 2021.

She provided her thoughts on being the BBMF SEngO for us in the Club’s 2021 Yearbook magazine. Since leaving the Flight and moving to another RAF engineering post, Mandy has continued to support the BBMF as a member of the Fight’s PR Team which attends major airshows and events around the country to be the public face of the BBMF. A keen skier, snow-boarder and mountaineer, Mandy is the Vice-Chair of the RAF Mountaineering Association. She is also joint patron of The Spitfire Makers Charitable Trust which aims to commemorate those who built Spitfires during the Second World War.
