September 2016 is the 25th anniversary of the accident that befell BBMF Hurricane LF363 in 1991, the most serious accident in the Flight’s long history.

This year’s Members’ Day will be held at the BBMF, RAF Coningsby on Sunday 2 October 2016. It is an annual event when the BBMF says thank you to its supporters.

Spitfire Mk Vb AB910 was built at the Castle Bromwich Aeroplane Factory in 1941 and was delivered, brand new, to its first RAF unit, No 222 Squadron at North Weald, on 22nd August that year. In August 2016 we are, therefore, celebrating AB910’s 75th ‘birthday’.
