Club prizes and winners – October to December 2018
All members of the RAF Memorial Flight Official Club are automatically entered into the Club’s monthly prize ballots and Club members have won some superb ballot prizes in the last three months. In addition, there were further bonus prizes on offer in October and November.
These were the Club prizes and winners for October to December 2018:
October ballot prize – Dinner for two at the Petwood Hotel
The Petwood Hotel kindly donated the ballot prize for October, a three-course dinner for two people, worth £75. Located at Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire, the Petwood was home to the officers of No 617 ‘Dambusters’ Squadron during the Second World War. It is also very close to the BBMF Visitor Centre, making a visit to see the BBMF’s aircraft in the hangar at RAF Coningsby something that could easily be combined with this prize, as well as exploring Lincolnshire and its other aviation heritage sites.

November ballot prize – Leather BBMF wallet and accessory tray
An officially licensed RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight wallet and accessory tray, worth £75. Kindly donated by Asali Designs, the BBMF accessory tray is made from embossed leather in dark grey and the wallet from Italian leather. Both display the RAF BBMF logo and come with their own dust-bag.

December ballot prize – Limited edition Spitfire watch
Created by RSC (Ronald Steffen Creations), the watch is one of only 250 produced to celebrate the release of the film SPITFIRE. The watch features a 43 mm diameter case, with Swiss Ronda movement and Sapphire crystal and is presented in a luxury 'leather' case
Winner: Robert Kettle from Essex.

In addition to the fantastic ballot prizes for Club members, there were also additional bonus prizes on offer in October and November.
October bonus prize – A copy of the Haynes Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Operations Manual
Two lucky people each won a copy of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Operations Manual, published by Haynes. The manual, originally published in 2015, provides readers with a behind-the-scenes view of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight by photographer Keith Wilson.

November bonus prize – A copy of Lisa Harding’s ‘A View from the Fence’, a photographic review of the BBMF 2018 display season.
The View from the Fence is photographer Lisa Harding’s unofficial review of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's 2018 display season. Featuring over 150 images of the people and aircraft that make up the Flight, The View from the Fence looks back on the RAF BBMF’s memorable 2018 flying season.
Winner: Neil Crosswell.
