RAF ‘Salute 2017’ - BBMF 60th anniversary issue

The 2017 edition of Royal Air Force Salute is dedicated entirely to the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight in its 60th anniversary year. Now on sale at just £5.99, it’s available from retailers including WHSmith and selected supermarkets, or direct from Key Publishing.

Officially endorsed by the Royal Air Force and produced by Key Publishing, RAF Salute 2017 provides a spectacular biopic of the BBMF, 60 years on from its formation as the Historic Aircraft Flight at Biggin Hill.

This special 100-page magazine is illustrated with glorious archive imagery and contemporary photos. It details the rich individual histories of each of the aircraft that make up the magnificent collection of airworthy machines that BBMF operates from RAF Coningsby today. It also places the types in their historical context and explains how the challenges of engineering these historic aircraft in the modern world are met so that they can be displayed for generations to come.
