Ballot prizes and winners – October to December 2017
All members of the RAF Memorial Flight Official Club are automatically entered into the Club’s monthly prize ballots. There have been some great prizes won by members in the last few months. The prizes for October to December 2017 and the lucky Club members who won them were:
October - Three copies of ‘THE FLIGHT’ by John Dibbs and Clive Rowley
Three lucky Club members each won a copy of the recently-published hardback book ‘THE FLIGHT’ about the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, with superb air-to-air portraits of the Flight’s aircraft by renowned aviation photographer John Dibbs and words by the RAF Memorial Flight Club’s very own publications editor, former OC BBMF, Clive Rowley.
Winners: Michelle Radburn from Lincolnshire , Anton Louwers from the Netherlands and Carol Cumming from Edinburgh.
November - A tour of Avro Lancaster NX611 ‘Just Jane’
A fantastic 30-minute tour inside Avro Lancaster NX611 ‘Just Jane’ at its home in the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby, Lincolnshire, with the opportunity to take internal photos and sit in the different crew positions. The tour would usually cost £55.00 and free admission to the museum was also included.

December - Two copies of the Haynes Battle of Britain RAF Operations Manual
This manual, written by Andy Sauders, describes and illustrates the ‘nuts and bolts’ of how Britain – and the RAF in particular – fought back against the Luftwaffe in 1940, and won. It also shows how the Luftwaffe was organised and how it, too, rose to the challenge. The book usually retails at £22.99
