Long-standing members of the RAF Memorial Flight Official Club may remember an item in the Club e-newsletter for August 2015 that reported an incident that had occurred with BBMF Hurricane LF363 on 25th July 2015 when one of the oil pipes to the aircraft’s constant speed unit fractured, whilst conducting a flypast over Cadwell Park racing circuit, 20 miles north of Coningsby.
This month, one lucky Club member will win a pair of officially licensed RAF BBMF t-shirts and the maps used to plan the BBMF’s flypast over Westminster Abbey on Battle of Britain Sunday 2016. The maps have been signed by OC BBMF, Sqn Ldr Andy ‘Milli’ Millikin.
The RAF Memorial Flight Official Club autumn journal for 2016 has just been published and will be sent out to members in the next couple of weeks. The 76-page magazine is packed with stunning photographs – many of them previously unpublished – and with fascinating feature articles.
