About the Spitfire fountain pen
TMB Art Metal have joined forces with Onoto Pens to create a limited edition of 100 high-quality fountain pens, the casing of which is crafted entirely from Duralumin (aluminium) from 1940 Battle of Britain Spitfire P7350, using metal from its original wing main spar removed during restoration work circa 2008. The pen donated to the RAF Memorial Flight Club is not one of the limited edition, but is one of 20 special ‘overs’.
The design of the pen comprises a tactile gentle radius throughout, with the cap featuring a propeller spinner with prop blade of phosphor bronze. More information on the creation of these historic pens can be found at Onoto’s website.
